[00:00:14] Welcome to the Little Black Book. [00:00:17] Before Lent begins, take some quiet time to write down your Lenten plans in your journal. [00:00:24] We need to do some thinking and praying before we chart our course through Lent. [00:00:29] God is our guide, and it's to God we must go before we do anything. [00:00:35] Don't worry about finalizing anything yet. Lent is still three days away. [00:00:41] You can keep coming back to revise them. [00:00:46] We all have some thoughts and ideas in the back of our mind. These are the ones we usually pull out at a time like this. [00:00:54] Let's put those aside for a moment and and find out what God has in mind for us. [00:01:00] It may be something we've never thought of. Something that surprises us. [00:01:05] We need to do what Jesus and the apostles did. [00:01:09] Jesus said to his apostles, come by yourselves to an out of the way place and rest a little. [00:01:17] People were coming and going in great numbers, making it impossible for them to so much as eat. [00:01:25] So Jesus and the apostles went off in the boat by themselves to a deserted place. [00:01:31] Mark, chapter 6, verses 31, 32. [00:01:39] Put yourself in that scene for a few minutes. [00:01:42] Make it just the Lord and yourself alone in a quiet place. [00:01:48] Ask the Lord some strange straight questions. [00:01:52] How am I doing? [00:01:57] Am I living up to what you expect of me?
